Started in Kabul, shipped to DC
Bluehall started building mobile and web products for teams who couldn't find senior engineers locally. One of those early apps — an audiobooks platform — grew past 100K active users and became the anchor of our consumer practice.

Cloud and enterprise arrive
As clients scaled we followed. ERPNext implementations for embassies and trading houses, multi-cloud architectures for fintechs, and the first SOC 2-grade builds alongside our US partners.

AI, built with guardrails
We started investing in LLM engineering the same way we'd always invested in cloud — with evaluations, retrieval pipelines, and cost ceilings. A proposal-writing tool we built with an early-stage founder went on to be featured on ProductHunt.

Leads Bluehall's engineering practice from strategy through production. Over a decade of executive experience — previously Supervisory IT Specialist at the DC Department of Buildings, where he championed the automated plan-review initiative that reshaped permitting for the District, and CTO at HesabPay, where he scaled the payments platform that now anchors Afghanistan's digital financial rails. A frequent speaker on technology leadership, including on the TED stage, with a practitioner's view on building teams that actually ship.
Tahmina Hayel
Runs delivery and client operations across the portfolio. Over a decade at the United Nations — program management on education, civic-technology, and humanitarian-response initiatives across four countries — now bringing that operating discipline to Bluehall engagements. Known for keeping work on scope, on schedule, and on the client's side of the table.
Abdul Saboor Hakimi
Leads secure-architecture and application-security work across Bluehall engagements. Application Security Engineer by practice, with a track record of hardening production systems at Aseel (protecting beneficiary data through proactive monitoring and secure design), Sayas Group (security lead on a national-scale platform), and Awal Development (detection and digital defences). Equally at home in a threat model or a Node.js / Medusa.js backend — the combination clients want on security-critical builds.
